A Kabuki Performance

Tokyo is considered the center of Japanese theatre. Along with many places showing modern theatre, there are places showing the traditional Noh and Kabuki theatre styles. In Noh, the stages are very simple. This is made up for by elaborate costumes, including a mask worn by the lead actor. The movements are very slow and graceful. In Kabuki, stages are very elaborate, and there is much drama in the shows.
